Daily Management is a TQM vehicle and a management system to monitor and control the processes and continually improve KPIs. With Daily Management, everyone in the organization can identify what is required of them, then establish measurement and control systems around their KPIs and then track, improve and review performance on a routine basis.
Daily Management is carried out for sustenance of KPI performance through the existing processes with some incremental improvements. However, if a higher level in performance is required, it may not be achieved just with these improvements on existing processes. It may be required to carry out higher level activities to achieve the enhanced level of performance through Policy Management.
‘Daily’ in DM doesn’t essentially mean daily, but routine – may be daily, weekly, or the desired frequency.
